macOS desktop
Planned desktop downloads for macOS and Windows, including what the installer previews mean.
Desktop availability
The intended companion will manage sandboxes, show agent activity, and handle approvals. The homepage preview does not deliver those capabilities.
| Detail | Current status |
|---|---|
| macOS / Windows installers | Not released. |
| Minimum operating-system versions | Not announced. |
| Supported processor architectures | Not announced. |
| Signing and notarization | Not verified for a release. |
| Updates and uninstall behavior | To be documented with the first installer. |
The planned macOS installation flow
- Download the official Kernall
.dmgwhen released. - Open the disk image to see the installer window.
- Drag the Kernall icon onto the Applications folder.
- Open Kernall from Applications and follow setup.
- Eject the mounted disk image when finished.
This is the intended interaction illustrated in the macOS preview, not steps you can complete today. Windows will need a separate installer and installation guide. Release-specific permissions, verification, troubleshooting, and upgrade instructions will accompany each app.
Use Kernall on a Mac today
With repository access, run the local API preview from Terminal. Check actions and manage policies and reviews through HTTP without the desktop app.
Running the website source does not add operating-system isolation or background sandbox management to your Mac.
Downloads and release questions
No release date, price, minimum hardware specification, or update channel is committed for the desktop preview. This page will link verified installers when available. Phones, Linux, ChromeOS, and unidentified devices see a general desktop-download label; this does not announce builds for those platforms.
For early access questions, contact Kernall.
